Rev. Booth Iburg

My name is Rev. Booth Iburg and I serve as the pastor of this church   and have since the inception of Eternal Hope. I fought a “call” to   pastor for many years. I began seminary at Episcopal Divinity School   in my fifties! I have since graduated, been ordained and received my   Privilege of Call from United Church of Christ. My passion has been   working with the homeless and hungry for many years, plus other outreach to those in need.

Currently, I am retired from teaching and working as a Physical Therapist. My physical Therapy career started in 1976, and I previously taught at Pensacola State in the Physical Therapy Assistant program. I graduated from PT School in   Houston, Texas at Texas Woman’s University.

I moved to Gulf Breeze Florida in 1987 from Murfreesboro, Tn. Both   sides of my family are Tennesseans for generations and our blood   deeply runs orange and white! I live in Gulf Breeze with my wife,   Denise Williams. We have been together since 1989 and were legally   married in Cambridge, Ma in June 2008. Denise has a beautiful voice   and she is an integral part of our church praise band. I have 2 grown   sons from a previous marriage and am “Boo” to one grandson,   Matthew. Denise, originally from MA, has two children, 6   grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren. We “share” a   home with our two dachshunds, Maggie and Coco. Denise owns her   hairdressing business and specializes in making folks look great. We   enjoy the beach, traveling, kayaking, and tennis (Denise).
We both welcome you to Eternal Hope UCC and hope you can find a   home with us.
